Metaport, Metaport, Metaport, Metaport. Please do not waste your time with the Broviac. Ok I know the con in the metaport is actually being stuck but I assure you after a few times it will not hurt.
My Broviac had to be yanked twice and once when I was awake! In addition I couldn't swim and I constantly had to take care of it.
In my case I HATE NEEDLES and STILL DO so I refused the metaport. Once I got it I wished I would have started with it!

Anyone on Ara-c or Methotrexate?How about an infusion pump
Infusion pumps were the worse part for me.. I hated the sound of the pump
Cancer and Chemotherapy? To bald or not to Bald that is the question!
I say go bald if your just starting your chemo,
Ok heres the deal of course you don't want to be bald but your going to be so just shave it early. Two reasons
1) when it comes back it will be thicker and nicer than before
2) you can avoid the whole emotional process and itchyness behind "going bald"
Just accept and do it!
